We are a specialist provider of consultancy and implementation services for IT infrastructure and data architectures within life science manufacturing. Our role is to be a companion on the road for technology teams to be able to use as a tool at times when decisions need to be made.

We now have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing team and work on site with our blue-chip multinational clients within the pharmaceutical industry. This role is a full-time role based out of one of our client sites in Dublin.

Your responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to –
  • Involved in System design for clients from concept stage.
  • To participate in the development of automated system life cycle documents to meet business requirements in the support of automated systems. (i.e. Validation, standard operating procedures).
  • Support and programming for PLC’s (Rockwell/Allen Bradley Logix 5000/500 and Studio 5000), motion control and PC controlled equipment.
  • Programming and implementation of changes to the process automation code and systems hardware.
  • Provide automation support to production, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Interact closely with other engineers to discuss current projects, requirements, potential issues and solutions.
The Requirements:
  • A relevant 3rd level Engineering qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI and PC controlled systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum five years automation experience, preferably in the Life Sciences sector
  • SCADA experience with preference for Rockwell FactoryTalk View & Batch / InTouch / iFix
  • Proficiency in Rockwell/Allen Bradley Logix 5000/500 and/or Studio 5000.
  • Experience Coding\Development\Troubleshooting of automation systems.
  • Must have good knowledge of manufacturing automation, machine design, development and validation process.
  • Experience working within a GMP environment is a must.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently is essential.
  • A full valid Irish work permit is required for this role as it is an immediate start.
